B. Sc Nutrition and Dietetics

Nutrition and Dietetics as, "Human nutrition deals with the provision of essential nutrients in food that are necessary to support human life and good health. Poor nutrition is a chronic problem often linked to poverty, food security, or a poor understanding of nutritional requirements. Good nutrition is necessary for children to grow physically and mentally, and for normal human biological development."

BSc Nutrition and Dietetics aims to build in students a thorough understanding of nutritional and dietary sciences equipping them to better interpret modern health concerns. It not only deals with the nutritional recommendations but also focuses on research in medical, dietary needs and human biosciences. B. Sc Nutrition and Dietetics is a three-year undergraduate program that deals with nutrition, food science, and dietetics which are essential to lead an ailment less life. The course provides major insights into food microbiology and nutrition, essential in maintaining a proper healthy diet daily.

Eligibility

For admission in the B.Sc in Nutrition and Dietetics course, students need to be aware of the eligibility criteria, such as aspirants must complete their 10+2 with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% from a recognized board. Aspirants must also give the entrance exams required by the colleges for admission. The minimum age to apply for the course is 17 years.
